These periodic tremors in the market are normal. As of now, the weakness of the past few sessions qualifies as a garden variety decline, dip, pullback, giveback, selloff (whatever adjective one prefers).
North American indices were down for a second straight week as markets continue to consolidate following a record shattering rally. However, investors need not fret as we believe this downdraft is merely a correction within a new bull market, and the folks at Goldman Sachs agree. The firm published a report this week highlighting an array of forces that will juice stocks anew. They believe this current period of weakness is the product of slowing momentum in the ongoing economic recovery. Here are the reasons why Goldman believes this bull market is just getting started.
